Founder, Creative Director
Dylan Graves Comstock
I am Dylan Graves Comstock, an award-winning creative director with over twenty years of experience in filmmaking. I specialize in short-form, issue-based, documentary-style video production. I am an expert in trauma-informed video production.
At age 13, I started making videos in a barn in my parents’ back yard. A year later, my cross-country coach died of a heart attack in front of me at practice. I created a video about the experience in order to make sense of what happened and what it meant to me. I realized then that I could do something with video that mattered.
Surviving crimes as a child and adult galvanized my drive to create meaningful media. I chose to leverage art, my lived experience, and education in service of inspiring change. I established Holaday Graves Media, LLC to pursue this passion.

Why We’re Different
Holaday Graves Media employs acute emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to produce compelling, artful media. We work with complex and often emotional topics to humanize and communicate issues and causes. At heart, we are advocates and truth-tellers.
Higher education and direct experience offer insight
Dylan obtained a degree with high distinction from the University of Virginia in 2008 after completing an honors thesis which examined childhood sexual abuse among queer males. In addition to insight offered through his education, Dylan is a poly-victimized crime survivor. To ensure best practice in transforming his own trauma into video-advocacy for others, in 2017 Dylan became a nationally-credentialed victim advocate (NACP).
Distinction
Dylan is an Executive Board Member, as well as the Founder and Chair of the Mentorship Program, of Women In Film & Video (WIFV), one of the nation’s top-rated nonprofits for arts and humanities. He has served as the Treasurer and Secretary for the organization.
